The Key to Sustainability: Less Is More
April 22, 2025 by Margaret Sotrop – In the quest for a sustainable future, much of the conversation has focused on recycling, renewable energy, and ethical sourcing. While all these strategies play important roles, there’s a more fundamental — and often overlooked — key to true sustainability: using fewer materials in the first place. That’s key to our sustainability approach at GSP.

Sustainability Starts at the Store Profile
At GSP, we only print what our customers need with no overage. Stores only need the marketing materials that they absolutely will use effectively. Smart retailers know what their stores need by leveraging accurate store profiles from a single-source of truth. Accurate store data helps preserve resources, minimize waste, and reduce environmental impact.
Reduce First, Recycle Second
Every product begins with raw materials — metals, plastics, wood, water, and energy — extracted and processed, often at environmental and human cost. So we benefit immediately when we use less materials, consume fewer resources, and create less waste. If you don’t make it, you don’t have to recycle it or dispose of it.
Innovation Means Reduction
We believe in building your marketing to use less but with more impact. In the end, the greenest products are the ones that were never made — or at least, the one made with less waste. Sustainability starts before the recycling bin. At GSP, it starts at the store profile.
