3 WAYS TO DRIVE TRAFFIC TO YOUR NEWLY REMODELED STORE
NOVEMBER 30, 2023 BY MARGARET SOTROP – Hey, your new store looks great, and now you need to get them to come in and shop. Here’s three ideas you can implement before and after the grand re-opening, as well as during renovations.
- Before renovations begin, tell your customers when the renovations will happen, and what is happening. Let them know what benefits they’ll receive when the store is remodeled. Will it be more coffee selections? A larger menu? Shorter lines with self-checkout? Instead of simply posting a “pardon our dust” sign, consider a stanchion that highlights what store improvements customers can expect. Your customers will appreciate the upgrade.
- Tease the re-opening of the store, just like you would announce the original opening. The idea is to make sure that customers know that there is a new reason to come in and shop the store.
- Once you’re open, make sure you cultivate your old and new shoppers. Promote what’s in the store with messages on the outside of the store. This includes signage, digital displays, the app, social media and e-mail. Showcase the new features and benefits.
Communicating value to your customers is key to getting them to visit your newly remodeled stores. Value doesn’t have to just be price. Customers value experience too.
