GSP Helps Huck's Evolve Its Brand With New Concept Stores

Clearwater, Fla., Jan. 28, 2020 – GSP, a leading provider of retail services, was selected by Huck’s to assist the Illinois-based convenience store chain to refresh and modernize its brand and update the store’s retail environment and décor.

“Huck’s was looking for a fresh, new look and feel – something that would truly resonate with both new and existing customers,” described Huck’s Vice President of Marketing Brittany Bayley-Murray.

“We presented Huck’s with an innovative design that was smart and easy to execute,” said GSP’s New Business Development Director Craig Neuhoff. “As brand builders and experts in the c-store space, we understand the always-evolving needs and demands of our partners and their customers,” explained Craig.

“Drawing on history from the original Huck’s story as inspiration, GSP’s Design team worked closely with Huck’s to create a refreshed, brand package that reflects a modern, yet, vintage look,” said GSP’s VP of Design Steven Cohen. “From concept to future store rollouts – our goal is to help partners, like Huck’s, save time while creating an exciting brand that impacts the entire store from forecourt to foodservice,” added Steven.

The first new Huck’s Market store designed by GSP, a 4,800-square-foot prototype convenience store in Seymour, Indiana, celebrated its grand opening on Jan. 14, 2020. “GSP delivered spot-on creative,” said Brittany. “We’re so proud of our new Huck’s Market brand,” said Brittany. “We couldn’t have asked for a better team to work with. We look forward to our continued partnership and our next Huck’s Market store grand opening.”

GSP’s next Huck’s Market store is scheduled to open in summer of 2020 in Newburgh, Ind.

About Huck’s

In 1960, Bob Martin and Frank Bayley formed a partnership and began opening Big John supermarkets in small Southern Illinois towns, eventually branching out to Kentucky and Tennessee. Their first convenience store was opened in 1974 in Grayville, Ill and was named Huck’s. Today, Huck’s operates over 120 locations in Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Kentucky, and Tennessee. With innovative ideas, hard work, and a vision for the future, Martin and Bayley, Inc. has grown to be one of the most financially sound companies in the country with over 1,500 employees. In March of 2001, the Martin and Bayley families sold the company to the employees making Huck’s a 100 percent employee-owned company. In May of 2018, Murat Tokad was promoted from executive vice president to CEO of Huck’s. For additional information, visit hucks.com or contact 812-530-9014.

Our Brand Story

GSP started as a printing company in1978. We found our niche supplying in-store signage for convenience stores when retailers guessed quantities they needed. This led to overage, waste and expense. To solve this, we developed software to guarantee on-time delivery of “the right size sign, to the right store, every time.”

In 2014, we started AccuStore with a dedicated team. As software helped drive our growth, we realized that new printing and fulfillment sites near customers could drive business and improve sustainability. We acquired companies that fit GSP’s technical excellence and superior customer service models.

First was Great Big Pictures in Madison, WI in 2015. They lead the field in large format printing and visual merchandising for iconic fashion retailers. Their standards for customer service include award-winning sustainability programs, and expertise to bolster retail environments services.

In 2020, GSP acquired Custom Color in Lenexa, KS. The company supplies printed graphics to leading retailers. Custom Color’s stellar quality in fabric printing also aligns with GSP’s values.

GSP provides branding and marketing services with a focus on site-specific execution to help transform our customers’ growth strategies into store-level success. We design retail environments to engage shoppers and provide superior customer experiences. AccuStore powers our retail marketing, execution and digital display technologies and ensures stores get only what they need.
