NACS Panel On "Designing Stores for a Streamlined Workforce" to Be Moderated by GSP's Craig Neuhoff

Clearwater, Fla., Sept. 21, 2022 – Retail services provider GSP returns to the NACS show in Las Vegas for 2022. Before the convention floors open on Oct. 3, GSP Vice President Craig Neuhoff will moderate a panel discussion titled “Revisiting Store Design for Your Streamlined Workforce” on Monday, Oct. 3 at 9:15 a.m. in Westgate, Ballroom C.

The National Association of Convenience Stores is producing the panel discussion, which will help attendees understand ways they can implement labor saving changes as they redesign stores, remodel stores, or build new stores.

The panel discussion will include Kevin Smartt, Chief Executive Officer of TXB, and Derek Gaskins, Chief Marketing Officer of Yesway/Allsup’s. From the customer perspective, both TXB and Yesway/Allsup’s stores are regional customer loyalty destinations with solid reputations for their menu offerings and robust customer service.

Within the c-store industry, they are known for trendsetting in branding, customer experience and technical innovations. The panel discussion will speak to store design and the audience will discover successful concepts they can incorporate into their stores. NACS attendees must register to attend and may use this link for this NACS-produced event.

Derek Gaskins has worked in the c-store industry in many executive roles at brands including Rutter’s, Mid Atlantic Convenience Stores, Giant-Eagle’s GetGo chain, Nabisco Foods, Goldman Sachs, and Procter & Gamble.

Kevin Smartt has been CEO at TXB and its predecessor Kwik Chek for more than 25 years. In 2021, he was named “Retailer of the Year” by Convenience Store News, and has served as Chairman of the National Association of Convenience Stores.

“These two brands serve customers in unique ways,” said Craig Neuhoff. “In many locations, Yesway/Allsup’s stores are the local market since a grocery or big box store may be an hour’s drive.”

“TXB positioned itself a bit differently in the marketplace with food items that are fresh, supplied by local sources and uniquely Texan in concept,” said Margaret Sotrop, GSP Vice President of Design Services.  “They are the store of modern convenience.”

“While working with Kevin and Derek on the content preparation, it was obvious these two unique concepts face the same challenges as the whole industry,” said Craig Neuhoff. “The customers want better options for merchandise and menu items while the labor supply contracts.”

The National Association of Convenience Stores 2022 annual convention is being held Oct. 1-4 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. GSP will be presenting their solutions for retail environment “Now What?” moments in Booth 2063 in the Facility Operations section of the convention floor. They will also be providing demonstrations of the AccuStore retail intelligence software solution, along with the latest in digital display solutions technology.

Our Brand Story

GSP started as a printing company in1978. We found our niche supplying in-store signage for convenience stores when retailers guessed quantities they needed. This led to overage, waste and expense. To solve this, we developed software to guarantee on-time delivery of “the right size sign, to the right store, every time.”

In 2014, we started AccuStore with a dedicated team. As software helped drive our growth, we realized that new printing and fulfillment sites near customers could drive business and improve sustainability. We acquired companies that fit GSP’s technical excellence and superior customer service models.

First was Great Big Pictures in Madison, WI in 2015. They lead the field in large format printing and visual merchandising for iconic fashion retailers. Their standards for customer service include award-winning sustainability programs, and expertise to bolster retail environments services.

In 2020, GSP acquired Custom Color in Lenexa, KS. The company supplies printed graphics to leading retailers. Custom Color’s stellar quality in fabric printing also aligns with GSP’s values.

GSP provides branding and marketing services with a focus on site-specific execution to help transform our customers’ growth strategies into store-level success. We design retail environments to engage shoppers and provide superior customer experiences. AccuStore powers our retail marketing, execution and digital display technologies and ensures stores get only what they need. GSP is a forward-thinking company that’s here to serve retailers now, with a focus on their future.

GSP delivers graphics and digital marketing to over 75,000 retail locations. Our experts provide retail branding and marketing services, focused on site-specific execution. Our methods ensure stores get only the POP they need, at the lowest cost. Our Retail Environments team creates and deploys amazing, in-store shopping experiences.
