Thorntons Partners with AccuStore® for Virtual Store Walkthroughs to Capture In-Store Details and Environment

Clearwater, Fla., March 21, 2022 – AccuStore®, a GSP Company, announced today that along with traditional store surveys, the retail services provider will be leveraging its newest offering, Virtual Store Walkthroughs to gather and share precise store dimensions and details for Louisville, Kentucky-based convenience retailer, Thorntons. The offering’s 360-degree panoramic views provide visibility into the in-store experience.

“We typically perform traditional or physical surveys for Thorntons every few years,” said AccuStore Senior Product Manager Autumn Welch. “Pairing onsite surveys with Virtual Store Walkthroughs provides context to, and assurances of, store profile datapoints available in AccuStore. And they can be used to quickly gather additional details after the initial capture.”

“This project supports the opening of five new Thorntons stores—three in Chicago and two in Nashville—between October 2021 and March 2022,” said Greg Melton, Sr. Marketing Manager for Thorntons. “Having 3D models of store layouts enables us to plan, implement, and manage merchandising and floor plans more effectively.”
