The Sign Clamp™

A better, more cost effective way to display a pole sign

Recently GSP was challenged to develop a strong cost effective sign system that could be mounted to an exterior pole or interior fixture that is easy to install, durable, and can sustain exposure to high winds and adverse weather conditions when installed outside. The successful engineering of this product required that it be:

1. Easy to install with minimal use of hand tools and standard mounting hardware
2. Able to be used without any removable parts.
3. Accessible from the ground so that signs can be inserts without using a ladder.
4. Designed so that sign inserts can be installed without the use of tools.
5. Able to accommodate a wide variety of signs in different sizes and shapes.
6. Engineered so the sign inserts are cost effective.

What we came up with is a revolutionary pole sign display hardware system called the Sign Clamp™. The Sign Clamp™ is a self closing sign display system that can be used indoors or out designed specifically to display larger promotional graphics like pole signs. Made from powder coated 16 gauge steel the fixture and inserts have been independently tested to withstand sustained winds in excess of 115 mph. It can be mounted on both flat and round surfaces easily using mechanical fasteners or worm gear hose clamps.

Perhaps the greatest advantage of the Sign Clamp™ is the reduced insert cost over traditional pole sign applications. By mounting the sign perpendicular on the pole we are able to offer a display that is 2 sided on a single sheet of material. This coupled with the fact that there is no expensive fabrication steps required to produce the inserts yields a fast return on the initial hardware investment. Ultimately this leaves you with a better more cost effective display that won’t slide down the pole and end up in the drainage ditch that surrounds you stores. Which I think we all will agree is not effective P.O.P. placement.
